One of the way coaches, close friends or others in our support system ways can help you is by seeing your life objectively. When you are living your life, at times you aren’t objective because you are in the middle of it.
Coaches are excellent at being objective. We stand outside your life and see things that you may or may not be aware of. As we see these challenges, we can point out what we are seeing. Often times, coaches uses Socratic questions to illustrate what we see. Then you, the client, can begin the steps of overcoming the challenge at hand.
Close friends and others in your support system may be able to see your life objectively. Other times, they are so caught up in your life that they can’t be objective either, especially close friends.
So, if you want an honest, open evaluation of your life or challenges, talk to a coach. That is what are trained to do.
The significant problems we face cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them.
